Post has led CenturyLink from the eighth to the third-largest telecommunications company in the U.S. The 2009 acquisition of Embarq Corporation, which more than tripled the company’s revenues and customer base, as well as the 2011 acquisitions of Qwest, which again more than doubled CenturyLink’s size, and Savvis have helped transform CenturyLink into a recognized leader in the network services market. The company is a global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprise customers and provides data, voice and managed services in local, national and select international markets through its high-quality, advanced fiber optic network and multiple data centers. Under Post’s leadership, the company established and then expanded the CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to improving the well-being and overall quality of life of people in the communities CenturyLink serves. Named after CenturyLink’s founder, Clarke M. Williams, the Foundation is endowed by CenturyLink and provides funds for numerous community and educational initiatives including the company’s Backpack Buddies Food Drive, which has given the equivalent of more than 28 million pounds of food to families through local food banks over the last six years.
CenturyLink’s 2014 annual revenues were $18 billion, up from $360 million in 1992 when Post was appointed CEO.
Post serves on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) and a number of other boards and foundations.〔(Executive Profile of Glen Post - CenturyLink Newsroom )〕
